<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner with an always stable charge amount so as to obtain good and stable developing property of the toner even when the toner is stirred for a long time. SOLUTION: In the toner essentially comprising at least a binder resin, coloring agent and charge controlling agent, a metal salt of a salicylic acid derivative is used as the charge controlling agent, and >=90% of the metal salt of salicylic acid dispersed in the binder resin of the toner satisfies the general formula (A): (major diameter)/(minor diameter)≡R<3. The major diameter and minor diameter are defined such that when the particle image of the metal salt of salicylic acid derivative dispersed in the toner cross section is interposed by two parallel lines and the distance of the lines is measured, the minimum distance is defined as the minor diameter, and the diameter perpendicular to the minor diameter is defined as the major diameter.</p> |
