The said industrial design consists of the shape, configuration and ornamentation of a rear bumper for an automobile having a front surface, a bottom surface, and side surfaces; the front surface has a smooth lower section which curves outwards and rearwards and merges with the side surfaces through curved corner sections; the lower section of the front surface extends downwards and rearwards and merges through a step portion into the bottom surface of the rear bumper; the front surface has an upper section which curves upwards and rearwards and has an elongated central U-shaped recessed area having rearwardly extending bottom and side surfaces with rounded corners between the bottom and side surfaces; the upper section of the front surface has generally flat surfaces situated on either side of the elongated central U-shaped recessed area, the flat surfaces merging into the upper side surfaces of the rear bumper; the side surfaces extend rearwards on either side of the front surface; the side surfaces have a rear curved edge and a stepped upper portion having an sloped rear edge; the bottom surface of the rear bumper is generally flat with a raised section having downwardly diverging side surfaces, a flat upper surface, and rounded corners between the side and upper surfaces; the raised section extends the depth of the bottom surface and merges into the step portion of the front surface of the rear bumper; the bottom surface has a curved inner edge which generally follows the contour of the rear bumper in plan view.Drawings of the design are shown in the figures wherein:Fig. 1 is a front elevation view of the design of the rear bumper for an automobile;Fig. 2 is a rear elevation view thereof;Fig. 3 is a top plan view thereof;Fig. 4 is a bottom plan view thereof;Fig. 5 is a right side elevation view thereof;Fig. 6 is a left side elevation view thereof;Fig. 7 is a front perspective view from the left side and above of the rear bumper; and Fig. 8 is a rear perspective view from the left side and above of the rear bumper.Drawings of the design are included.
