FIBER COMPOSITE MATERIAL AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly transparent fiber composite material produced by a simplified production process by reducing the used amounts of raw materials, maintaining the excellent functions of a fiber material, and having high flexibility and low thermal expansion.

SOLUTION: The fiber composite material comprises a fiber assembly having 4-200 nm average fiber diameter and≥3% visual light transmittance at 50μm thickness, and a coat layer coating the surface of the fiber assembly and smoothening the surface, and has≥60% visual light transmittance at 50μm thickness. The highly transparent fiber composite material can be obtained by coating the surface with the coat layer to smoothen the surface and to suppress the scattering of the light caused by the uneven shape of the surface in such the fiber assembly.
