PLASMA DISPLAY PANEL AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREOF

A plasma display panel and a method of manufacturing the same are provided to improve discharge characteristics of the panel by forming differential barrier ribs which have different height, respectively. Barrier ribs are formed on the upper portion of a lower dielectric layer(130) on a substrate(110). The barrier rib is composed of the first barrier rib of well type defining a discharge cell enclosed by a row rib and a column rib, and the second barrier rib(210b) of stripe type further formed on the first barrier rib by the column rib. The second barrier rib is formed on the first barrier rib, so that heights of the row rib and the column rib are different from each other. The content of remaining carbon of the first barrier rib is different from that of the second barrier rib.
