<p>PURPOSE:To reduce peak pressure produced in a cylinder so effectively as to abate pump vibrations and noises. CONSTITUTION:In a piston pump which performs the suction and discharge of a working fluid with the reciprocating motion of a piston 2 installed in a cylinder 1, an accumulator 6 of small capacity in comparison with a cylinder chamber 3 is interconnected to this cylinder chamber 3. With this interconnection, if cylinder internal pressure tries to go up because of response delay in a check valve at a pump discharge stroke, the accumulator temporarily stores the working fluid in the cylinder, and thereby a pressure rise for a while till the check valve is opened is eased down, so that peak pressure in the cylinder is checked, thus a reduction in vibration and noise is well promoted.</p> |
