OPTICAL SIGNAL TRANSMISSION APPARATUS UTILIZING VISIBLE LIGHT AND OPTICAL COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical transmission apparatus having a visualized communication state, and to provide an optical communication system.

SOLUTION: The optical signal transmission apparatus is provided with a pulse light control section 200 for outputting a pulse optical signal; a non-linear optical section 201 for inputting the pulse optical signals outputted from the pulse light control section 200, and outputting the pulse optical signal and the harmonic component signal generated in a non-linear process using the pulse optical signal input; and a visible-light radiating section 202 for radiating only the harmonic components, in a visible band from the optical signals outputted from the non-linear optical section 201. The pulse light control section 200 controls the pulse width and/or the peak power of an output pulse light so that the average power of the optical signal of a visible band to be irradiated from the visible light radiation section becomes a predetermined value.
