A security system is provided to turn off an unnecessary camera as tracking and photographing an invader by interworking plural CCD cameras, thereby providing a security system having economic efficiency. Plural CCD(Charge Coupled Device) cameras(21,22,23) respectively have independent photographing monitoring areas. At least one infrared sensor(11,12) senses motion of an object by using infrared rays. A controller(30) operates at least one predetermined CCD camera if the motion of the object is sensed by the at least one infrared sensor. The controller analyzes image data inputted from the operating CCD camera to estimate a predictive path of the object, and selects at least one CCD camera corresponding to the estimated predictive path among the plural CCD cameras, and operates the selected CCD camera in a predetermined monitoring mode.
