<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically perform switching or selection of paper feed tray according to a printing direction (vertical direction, horizontal direction) in a print job. <P>SOLUTION: In a printer including a plurality of paper feed trays in which long edge feed LEF and short edge feed SEF can be selectable as paper setting method, a discharge method selection item is provided on a printer panel and a printer driver to select, as the discharging method of a print result, discharging in the same direction or discharging as in screen display, and printing is performed based on the selection. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
