<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic musical instrument which can be played while the kind of a chord, the pitch of a sound ranging over a wide pitch extent, and the timing of sound generation are specified simultaneously through easy operation by only one hand. <P>SOLUTION: The electronic musical instrument is equipped with a display 2 and a mouse 3, and a cursor 9 is moved with the mouse 3, and a mouse button 8 is clicked to operate a virtual console panel 11 displayed on the display 3, thereby generating a musical sound.
