PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of measuring a three-dimensional shape capable of reducing the measuring man-hour of a worker by achieving off-line teaching in a three-dimensional measuring machine of non-contact type. SOLUTION: In the method, the three-dimensional shape of an object to be measured is measured by the three-dimensional measuring machine 1 of non-contact type. A three-dimensional (3D) CAD model of the three-dimensional measuring machine, the object, a measuring table, and measuring tool is created in the 3D CAD, the 3D CAD model (measuring range model) 17 of the measuring range by the three-dimensional measuring machine is visualized, it is brought into contact with the 3D CAD model 18 of the object to color the measuring range on the 3D CAD model 18 of the object, and the off-line teaching for determining the measuring position is performed.
