Plane box comprises a connecting plate (25) inserted into a recess (26) in the side part (15) of a machine frame (12) for supporting the torque. The plate is provided with a bearing holder for the bearing of a chain wheel shaft (22) on the machine frame side. An independent claim is also included for a drive station for a plane extracting unit. Preferred Features: The connecting plate is wedge-shaped and tapers from a rear edge to a front edge. The connecting plate has an annular collar protruding over its outer side partially forming the bearing holder with its inner bore.
