<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a user to efficiently and quickly select functions and contents of a home system supporting a life behavior, on the basis of the attributes and states of display devices arranged in various places and user's behavior, in provision of the functions and contents of the home system. <P>SOLUTION: A storage part holds the location attribute information on the devices, use frequency information by time zone for each user and location dependence use information for each user. A user identification input part identifies a user using the system. Upon displaying a menu for selecting contents and functions to the identified user, a calculation part refers to respective databases in the storage part in accordance with a display state of the menu and generates menu content information correlated to the contents and the functions.
