<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light-emitting device capable of achieving a white-color light source having high emission efficiency. <P>SOLUTION: The light-emitting device comprises: a package part (1) comprising a first portion and a second portion where a semiconductor light-emitting element is mounted; a semiconductor light-emitting element (3) which is mounted on the first portion of the package part to emit light having the emission peak in a near ultraviolet range; a transparent resin layer (5) which is provided on the first portion and the second portion of the package part to cover the semiconductor light-emitting element, and has the outer periphery being curved to protrude upward, in the cross section vertical to the first portion and the second portion; and a laminate consisting of a red phosphor layer (6), a yellow phosphor layer (7), a green phosphor layer (8), and a blue phosphor layer (9) sequentially formed to be curved, protruding upward, by the end surface reaching the second portion, on the transparent resin layer.
