The device has a deformable tubular membrane integrated to attachments and presenting a connected edge (21) through which the membrane is sealably connected to a body of a safety or shut-off valve. A free edge (22) of the membrane is disposed downstream of the edge (21) relative to the free ends of the attachments. The membrane and the attachments are assembled on the same side of the valve body, such that a deployment of the attachments is accompanied with a deployment of the membrane by an expansion of the free edge until the application of the free edge on an internal wall of a gas line.
