PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To calculate a correction coefficient appropriate for an effective pixel even if primary shading is present in a pixel plane of an imager.SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus comprises: an effective pixel area; a dummy pixel area provided outside the effective pixel area; an A/D converter that A/D converts by comparing a pixel signal with a first lamp signal or a second lamp signal that has a gradient greater than the first lamp signal; a correction part that makes corrections to a first conversion signal obtained by A/D conversion through a comparison with the first lamp signal or a second conversion signal obtained by A/D conversion through a comparison with the second lamp signal; a calculating section that, during a period of time that a dummy pixel is read, inputs a reference signal to the A/D converter and calculates a correction value for correction on the basis of an A/D converted signal; and a control section that changes, for each frame, a period of time that a reference signal is input to the A/D converter and that causes a calculating section to calculate a correction value for each frame.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
