The present invention relates to a device for maintaining a mulching plastic sheet of an onion transplanter. When an onion transplanter performs transplantation, the mulching plastic sheet of a furrow is prevented from being moved according to the driving thereof. An onion transplanter according to the present invention comprises: a frame; an engine supported by the frame; a transmission (64) for shifting and outputting an output from the engine; a transplantation cup (34) supported by the frame (F), and transplanting an onion seedling in the ground while upwardly and downwardly moving on the basis of an output from the engine; a flat roller (70) supported by the frame while coming in contact with the mulching plastic sheet on the ground in a front position of the transplantation cup; multiple soil covering rollers (36) supported by the frame in a rear position of the transplantation cup, and rotated while coming in contact with the mulching plastic sheet on the ground; and an electricity transmission means for transferring rotation power of the engine or the transmission to the flat roller. It is preferable a chain tool (Ca, Cb) is used for such as an electricity transmission means.
