The present invention relates to a duty control apparatus to protect a motor and a method thereof. The apparatus comprises: a temperature modeling unit performing temperature modeling of a electronic waste gate actuator (EWGA) motor based on a previously collected temperature factor; a duty setting unit setting control duty of the EWGA motor according to a position of an EWGA; and a duty control unit controlling the set control duty of the EWGA motor based on the temperature modeling results. |
