PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dephosphorization method for molten iron capable of using a large-sized scrap and effectively making use of the scrap generating in a plant.SOLUTION: A dephosphorization method for molten iron includes: controlling a scrap by partitioning based on specific surface area (surface area/mass) when charging the molten iron together with the scrap into a converter; considering the component and temperature of the molten iron, the target component and target temperature after dephosphorization of the molten iron, and the type and use amount of an auxiliary material used in dephosphorization to calculate a scrap-chargeable blending ratio (SR") which corresponds to the amount of the scrap completely melted based on a thermal balance; considering the above SR", the specific surface area of the scrap to be charged in the converter in dephosphorization, the dephosphorization schedule time (oxygen-feeding time), and the temperature of the molten iron to calculate a charged scrap blending ratio (SR) including the scrap amount which is not completely melted; and controlling the blending amount of the scrap so that a part of the scrap charged in the converter remains unmelted after dephosphorization in the converter.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
