PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet conveying device that can prevent an opening/closing door from being half-closed, and an image forming apparatus.SOLUTION: A sheet conveying device comprises an opening/closing door 51 that is supported by a device body 100a, a first lock mechanism 95, and a second lock mechanism 96. The first lock mechanism includes a first engaging member 61 that is provided on the device body and a first engagement target member 71 that is provided on the opening/closing door and with which the first engaging member engages, and the first engaging member engages with the first engagement target member over a first apex of the first engagement target member in an operation to close the opening/closing door to lock the opening/closing door. The second lock mechanism includes a second engaging member 62 that is provided on the device body and a second engagement target member 72 that is provided on the opening/closing door and with which the second engaging member engages, and the second engaging member engages with the second engagement target member over a second apex of the second engagement target member in an operation to close the opening/closing door to lock the opening/closing door. The rotation position of the opening/closing door at which the first engaging member goes over the first apex is different from the rotation position of the opening/closing door at which the second engaging member goes over the second apex.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
