摘要 The present invention relates to a novel method for classification and visualization of cellular populations on a single cell level based on fluorescence microscopy images. The method is based on the combination of gating strategies adopted from FACS analysis and images of single cells cropped from multispectral fluorescence images. Thereby, visual information such as morphology or fluorescence marker distribution influences the way of setting the gates manually to define subpopulations in the sample. By using automated statistical methods subsequently, the accuracy of the manual gating is further refined.
