PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a residual stress estimation method and a residual stress estimation device that are capable of setting an appropriate analysis range without being affected by user's experience.SOLUTION: A residual stress estimation device displays an analysis result of analyzing strain caused in a structure without using a measurement of the structure. A user determines a position of an analysis range and its size on the basis of the analysis result, and inputs the determined position and size of the analysis range and a residual stress measurement of a cut piece at a measurement point of the structure into the residual stress estimation device. The residual stress estimation device estimates a distribution of inherent strain in the analysis range so as to approximate an inherent strain distribution to be obtained from the input residual stress measurement of the cut piece, and then estimates residual stress of the structure on the basis of the inherent strain.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 |
