<p>PURPOSE:To provide an electronic sphygmomanometer capable of surely capturing pulse wave during pressurization of a cuff, readily and quickly calculating an estimated value of highest blood pressure, and surely performing automatic setting of appropriate cuff pressurization. CONSTITUTION:In an electronic sphygmomanometer equipped with an aimed pressurization value deciding means which captures pulse wave during pressurization of a cuff, estimates the highest value of blood pressure according to the captured pulse wave and then stops pressurization of the cuff according to the estimated highest blood pressure value when blood pressure rises by a predetermined amount, the aimed pressurization value deciding means reduces cuff pressure to a predetermined value when one part of pulse wave cannot be captured and so an estimated highest blood pressure value cannot be decided : the means also reduces the speed of cuff pressurization to a predetermined value and then pressurizes the cuff again.</p> |
