PURPOSE:To easily manufacture such a metallic tube the inner wall of which is provided with a metal-base composite material film having large film thickness, dense structure and excellent wear resistance. CONSTITUTION:Firstly, a metal inner cylinder 3 is arranged inside of a metallic tube 1, and the space between the metallic tube and the inner cylinder is filled with a ceramic powder 2. Then sealing members 4 which can seal the space between the metallic tube 1 and the inner cylinder 3 are arranged on both ends of the metallic tube 1, and the space between the metallic tube 1 and inner cylinder 3 is evacuated and sealed with these sealing members 4. Then the tube body is subjected to hot hydrostatic pressing. Thereby, the metal component of the inner cylinder 3 melts and impregnate the pores of the ceramic powder 2 to form a metal-base composite material film. Thus, a metallic tube lined with the metal-base composite material can be obtained. |
