A method of making an article or a facing of synthetic-resin impregnated material, comprises superimposing layers 1 of glass fibre fabric on a base 2, enclosing the whole in a flexible sealed bag, puncturing the bag and injecting the synthetic resin 6 through the puncture into the layers while the vacuum is maintained, said synthetic resin subsequently becoming cured to form said article or facing. The fabric layers are held to the base by bands 4, the puncturing and injecting being effected by hollow needle 5, the puncture being subsequently closed by adhesive patch 8. The needle 5 may be fitted to a gun (9), Fig. 2 (not shown), having a valve (12) controlled by a trigger (11) and connected by a flexible tube (13) to a pressurized tank (14) containing resin. |
