A silo for fermented fodder comprises an endless band cutter 6 rotatably mounted at the top of a telescopic tube 66, the cutter feeding material down the tube to the bottom of the silo. As the material in the silo is emptied, the members 67 of the tube 66 telescope one within the other. The endless band cutter 6 is driven by a motor 19 which also drives a wheel (not shown) which rests on top of the silo and rotates the cutter 6 about the axis of the tube 66. Guide wheels 8, 10 which are vertically adjustable also rest on top of the silage and a wheel 65 rests on the inner wall of the silo. |
