[Also in Division B8] A vehicle having a load platform on a chassis a has sets of wheels c carried by longitudinal supports d rotatable about vertical axes by gearwheels b, b<SP>1</SP> to swing the wheels outwards to provide clear access to the rear of the load platform. A ramp, which may be in two portions f<SP>1</SP>,f<SP>11</SP>, is pivoted at g to the load platform and as the supports d swing outwards wedge like projections e thereon engage slide surfaces h to allow the ramps to lower to the ground. The ramp portions f<SP>1</SP>, f<SP>11</SP> may be laterally movable on the pivot g and may be locked in position. Stopmeans may hold the ramp in the upright position which may be slightly downwardly inclined so that the ranp always falls by gravity. |
