<p>PURPOSE:To realize the area division recording of a tracking signal without making a mechanism large size by winding a tape around a cylinder over 180 deg. and recording the tracking signal on an overlapping part over 180 deg.. CONSTITUTION:A video signal and an audio signal are digitized and coded respectively in a video encoder 2 and an audio encoder 6, thereafter, these signals are modulated to the column of code suitable for magnetic recording. In the meantime, the tracking signal is outputted from an ATF signal generator 13. Then, the video and audio codes are recorded in the area of a magnetic tape 25 corresponding to the 180 deg. part of the cylinder 19 and the tracking signal is recorded in the area corresponding to the overlapping part over 180 deg. of the cylinder 19. Therefore, the area division recording of the tracking signal is performed and the device is miniaturized.</p> |
