1,081,982. Kioto-sensitive materials. KALLE A.G. Jan. 28, 1966 [Jan. 30, 1965], No. 3965/66. Heading G2C. A light-sensitive copying material comprises a support carrying a coating containing an N-vinyl carbazole which may be substituted in its aromatic rings, ferrocene or a substitution product thereof, a condensation product of an aldehyde with a heterocyclic compound having a 5-membered nitrogen-containing ring, and a light sensitive halogen compound. Specified heterocyclic compounds and halogen compounds are as disclosed in Specification 1, 079, 600. Specified ferrocenes are ferrocene, diacetyl-, dipropionyl-, dibenzoyl-, bis(3-nitrobenzoyl)-, and bis(4-dimethylbenzoyl)- ferrocenes, and ferrocene dicarboxylic acid. The coating may contain an aromatic or heterocyclic aldehyde, several of which are specified, and may also contain a natural or synthetic resin or wax. The organic halide may be added as a gas prior to exposure. The exposed material may be heated to strengthen the image, and then fixed by washing with an organic solvent or, if the halogen compound is volatile, by heating further to e.g. 80-120‹C. |
