PURPOSE:To utilize the V/H host standby system and to allow the system to effectively cope with even fading in the communication system adopting the cross polarized wave (V/H) hot standby system provided with two systems of transmitters and receivers sending a same signal in two orthogonal polarized waves in which one of them is in standby while being connecting to the power supply at all times. CONSTITUTION:The system is provided with a 1st power variable means 12 varying transmission power of a 1st transmission means 16 in response to a control signal, a 2nd power variable means 14 varying transmission power of a 2nd transmission means 18 in response to the control signal, and a power control means 26 detecting a depth of a notch in the frequency characteristic of a reception signal by the 1st and 2nd reception means 20,22 and controlling the power variable means 12,14 selected by the selection means 24 so that the depth of notch in the reception means 20,22 selected by the selection means 24 is a prescribed value or below. |
