A pallet comprises a base panel 1 having at each of a number of positions distributed over it a pair of upturned tongues 1a formed therefrom, an upper panel 2 having at corresponding positions a pair of downturned tongues 2a formed therefrom, and a hollow leg-piece 3 into which the tongues 1a, 2a are inserted and anchored. The tongues 1a are bent upwards from separate cutting zones so as to leave a remaining portion of the panel 1 at the bottom of the associated leg-piece 3, while the tongues 2a are defined in a single cutting zone to admit a box-like insert 4 into the leg-piece 3. The tongues 1a, 2a may be adjacent the same walls of the leg-piece 3 and may overlap. Alternatively the tongues 1a, 2a may lie against different walls of the leg-piece 3. |
