[Also in Divisions D1-D2] A sewing apparatus comprises a sewing machine 10 containing a reservoir for lubricant which is caused to be distributed to the bearing surfaces by dippers 43, a lubricant - cooler 27 mounted adjacent the machine, and a pump 28 which circulates lubricant from the reservoir through the cooler and back to the reservoir. The motor 35 which drives the pump also operates a cooling fan 36, and the cooler may be provided with fins to assist cooling. The pump is a rotary gear pump. |
