[Also in Division D1] Reactive monoazo dyes of general formula in which X is a chloro- or bromo-sym-triazinyl or chloro- or bromo-pyrimidinyl group and K is a phenolic or enolic coupling component residue are prepared by diazotizing an amine of formula and coupling to a coupling component KH 1 or by reacting a dyestuff of formula with a chloro- or bromo-triazinyl or pyrimidinyl compound providing the group X above. The dyes are preferably water-soluble and give orange shades. |
