A double-walled boiling, roasting or baking vessel comprises two metal vessel parts one of which is inserted within the other to define between them a space connected to the ambient air by way of communication paths in the form of channels or fissures, the vessel parts being in contact with one another at edge regions thereof and the channels or fissures being provided at said edge regions, said space being adapted at least in the cold condition of the vessel or at room temperature to be sealed off in liquid tight manner from the direction of the outside atmosphere to the inside space, while at the same time gas is able to escape from the space when the pressure therein is sufficiently high as to require such egress. |
