<p>The use of compounds with the general formula:- where x, y, z are each 1, 2 or 3 and R1, R2, R3 are H, alkyl, -OH or -CN groups such that the molecule always contains at least one -CN group, together with aliphatic diols or poly-ols with a chain length C3-C8 or aromatic alcohols, produces mixtures that enhance the solubility of textile dyes in water. The ease of solubility and hence ease of use of the following classes of dyes are much improved; acidic-, direct-1 : 1 and 1 : 2 metal complexes-, sulphur-dyes.</p> |
