PURPOSE: To provide a user interface terminal for which the position for the interface to a printer with a copy sheet path can be varied. CONSTITUTION: An operator control panel for controlling the function of a printer 10 is provided on the printer. The operator control panel is set on a position overlying a copy sheet path access panel on the upper face of the printer and is extended toward the front of the printer for improved operator access to the operator control panel, and the operator control panel is laterally slidably mounted to the printer and to be movable by an operator to a position not overlying the sheet back path access panel for which the opening operation is desired by the operator or indicated by the operator control panel.
