The diamines of the formula: (where n=3 to 16, e.g. 3,5,10,16). they are prepared by heating at 160 degrees C 230 degrees C (180 degrees-210 degrees C) a hydrazine salt (mono or di- chloride or sulphate) with an amino acid of the formula NH2(CH2)n - COOH or its lactam e.g. epsilon-caprolactam.
