1293641 Pressurized dispensing containers COSTER TECNOLOGIE SPECIALI S p A 22 Jan 1970 [30 Jan 1969] 3201/70 Heading F1R A double valve assembly for a pressurized double container package dispenses a mixture of two liquids or one only of the two, depending on whether the valve actuator is tilted or axially moved respectively. Axial movement opens one valve while the other is held on its seat. During filling the other valve is positively held on its seat. As shown, a deformable receptacle 18 is secured to a body 4 of the valve and the combined assembly, mounted on a cup 1, is mounted on the container 2. The valve comprises plugs 6 and 7, the plug 6 having a recess into which project guide ribs 11, for securing the stem 12 therein, and which define passages therebetween. A recess 8 is provided in plug 7 which co-operates with the projected end 9 of plug 6. Depressing the stem 12 axially downwards causes the plug 6 to move towards plug 7, the end 9 of plug 6 abutting the lower surface of recess 8 in plug 7 thus preventing any further axial movement, and the outer container is opened to the atmosphere via the valve chamber, passages defined by ribs 11 and the discharge passage provided in the stem. In this position the plug 7, overlying the orifice 14, is held firmly against the inner lower surface of the valve body 4 closing the orifice 14 from the valve chamber. When the stem 12 is tilted, the force is transmitted to the plug 7 causing it to tilt on its edge thus opening the orifice 14 to the chamber and the mixture of the two liquids to be dispensed. When the mixture is to be dispensed a button 20 having one or more teeth 22 which cause tilting of the stem on depression, is fitted. |
