Plastic foam laminate for footwear

Laminate, e.g. for use in footwear is made by bonding a sheet of cellular plastic material to a fibrous material or to another cellular plastic sheet and allowing a molten thermoplastic material between the sheets to soak up the plastic cellular sheets. The melt is then left to set between the sheets, or soaking and setting are promoted. Preferably, the thermoplastic material may be polyethylene, polypropylene or PVC and the cellular plastic expanded polyurethane.
