PURPOSE:To provide a ventilation device in a kitchen, wherein oil stain adhered to a filter is at first decomposed into low carbon molecules with light and light catalyst, thereafter it is further decomposed and gasified and purified under a heated catalyst. CONSTITUTION:Material acting as light catalyst and heated catalyst is applied to cover a filter 10 of a ventilation device, and a fluorescent lamp 13 and a heating heater 14 are mounted at a front upper part of a suction side of the filter 10. As the filter 10 is stained more with oily smoke during cooking operation, at first the fluorescent lamp 13 is regularly turned on and a light beam is radiated to the filter 10 for a specified period of time. After this operation, the heating heater 14 is electrically energized and the light beam radiated from the surface is struck against the filter 10. |
