Plant for the separation of weakly magnetic materials from gangue by passage through an agglomeration of soft magnetic spheres exposed to an additional magnetic field and agitated by means of rotating drum(s) arranged round the periphery of them the gangue being washed away and the magnetic material being carried round the drum into an segmental area where no additional magnetic field is being applied and when the magnetic fraction is washed off the spheres by the application of a water spray, the material being collected in a separate bin.
