ELUTION SPLITTABLE TYPE FIBER

PURPOSE:To obtain elution splittable type fiber capable of enhancing splitting treatment efficiency without using an alkali as a weight reduction processing treating agent. CONSTITUTION:Elution splittable type fiber containing (B) plural polyamide components such as nylon 6, hardly eluting in an acid amide-based organic solvent such as dimethylformamide and present in (A) a polyester component capable of being eluted in the aforementioned acid amide-based solvent. In the above-mentioned elution splittable type fiber, the component (A) is a polyester composed of isophthalic acid in an amount of 30-60mol% based on the whole acid component, terephthalic acid in an amount of 70-40mol% based on the whole acid component and ethylene glycol in an amount of >=70mol% based on the whole glycol component at (80:20)-(2:98) weight ratio of the components (A):(B). The size of the constituent units of the component (B) is <=1 denier and the number of the aforementioned constituent units is >=8. The thickness of the fiber is 1-20 denier.
