PURPOSE:To provide a synchronous motor controller which can adjust the offset value of the armature current of the synchronous motor to an optimum value automatically. CONSTITUTION:The speed ripple of the three-phase synchronous motor 20 is detected by a speed detector 12 and, at the same time, the offset value of the armature current of the three-phase synchronous motor 20 is detected by a current detector 11. A central processing unit 14 varies the offset value of the armature current of the motor detected by the current detector 11 successively to obtain the value of the armature current at which the speed ripple detected by the speed detector 12 is minimized and employes that offset value as an optimum offset value. |
