PURPOSE:To automatically select power-on/off by automatically discriminating a microphone requiring power supply from the external and a microphone not requiring it at the time of connector insertion. CONSTITUTION:A notch is provided in the cylinder upper end part of a plug sheath, and a connector is used which has a receptacle 17 provided with a micro switch 15 in a part corresponding to this notch with a detection pin, which pierces a hole, between them. An electronic switch 22 is opened or closed through the micro switch 15 in accordance with the presence or the absence of the notch, and the plug provided with the notch is set to the microphone requiring power supply but the normal plug is set to the microphone not requiring it, thereby automatically discriminating whether power supply is necessary or not. Thus, operation error by man is prevented and trouble is saved. |
