The device is suitable for both macro- and micro-polishing of the metallic monocrystals (crystal or section planes), and consists of a vessel contg. a liquid electrolyte in which a rotary plate horizontal cathode and a metal specimen holder, spaced from the cathode are fully immersed. - The metal specimen acts as an anode. Above the rotary cathode (0.2 mm.) is arranged an infinitely variable height adjustable flow limiting element for precise adjustment of the electrolyte density.
