1,205,657. Endless track vehicles. WARNER & SWASEY CO. 3 July, 1968 [27 Dec., 1967], No. 31781/68. Heading B7H. [Also in Division E1] An endless track vehicle comprises a frame 18 and a plurality of members extending transversely of the frame and operatively connecting the frame with spaced apart first and second track means 24, 26 which are movable relative to one another to vary the vehicle track, an hydraulic motor being mounted on each track assembly. The motors 34, 36 are connected through flexible conduits 58, 60 and a centrepart assembly 50 to a rotatable platform 14 of, for example, an excavator or mobile crane and each drives an endless track 66 through spur reduction gearing 84, a drive chain 94, and a drive sprocket 100. Each transmission is disposed within the confines of the associated track. Each track frame includes two transverse tubes 130 which are each adjustably mounted on a tube 122 secured in a transverse tube 126 of the frame 18 which supports the platform 14. A spacer 140, in the form of two halfcylindrical shells retained by a removable clamp 148, is mounted on a tube 122 either inboard or outboard of the tube 130 depending on whether the vehicle track is at its larger or smaller value. |
