<p>O-(1-Chloromethyl-ethyl) O-ethyl O-(2,5-dichloro-4-bromophenyl)phosphate (I) has insecticidal and fungicidal activity and is useful in plant-protection. It is also useful against insects such as flies, Blatella, mosquitos, gnats, etc. which are a health hazard and which damage stored goods. Toxicity to humans and animals is low. Pref. (I) is prepd. by reacting 2,5-dichloro-4-bromophenol with ethyl 1-chloromethylethyl phosphoryl chloride in the presence of acid-binding agents.</p> |
