<p>Heat-sensitive copy stencil comprises a fleece or sheet of fibres and applied to this by doubling a leaf of (pref. drawn) thermoplastics whose inner surface is coated with a release agent. The copying agent (I) is a hydrophobic cpd. having >=12C alkyl radicals pref. a vinyl polymer with higher alkyl or alkoxy side chains or a fatty acid Cr complex. Used in thermographic reproduction of images by exposure to IR with differential IR absorption, followed by application of the stencil with differential melting/retracting of its surface.</p> |
