Polyamide moulding - to give thick-walled bodies having high strength

The basic polyamide materials contains >=0.5, pref. 2 - 3% water, and is extruded into a mould where there is a pressure >6 atm., maintained either by a compressed gas or vapour, or a spring-loaded core. The purpose is to produce thick-walled polyamide bodies with good strength and drop-test characteristics, without brittleness or surface faults.
