A gas stove which comprises a combustion chamber 1, a gas burner 2, and a flow safety device 9, includes means for connecting the flue outlet of the stove to either a chimney (Fig. 1) or to the atmosphere (Fig. 2). As shown in Fig. 1, the means comprises a first union 3, in which a waste gas pipe 4 is connected, combustion gas entering the stove from the room via a second union 7. For connecting the stove to the atmosphere, the pipe 4 is removed, a pipe 13 being inserted over the second union 7. The flow safety device 9 comprises a U-shaped sheet metal plate which extends across the combustion chamber 1, flue gases passing around the sides of the sheet where guiding plates 16 pass the gas to the flue outlet. |
