Emulsified coolant lubricants - for high-speed cold-rolling of metals esp aluminium

A water-emulsifiable lubricant for metal working contains (a) 15-90 wt. % of a 8-20C aliphatic alcohol, (b) 0.1-25% of an emulsifier, (c) 0-80% of a lubricant oil and (d) 0-50% of an additive for improving the lubrication properties. Rust inhibitors, antioxidants, bactericides and antiseptics may be included. Al can be rolled at high speed, with less power consumption.
